Yesterday night i received a message from Farhan telling me that his host, Yuki Watanabe is in Singapore! During our stay in Japan 2 years ago, Farhan happen to be hosted by a Year 3 student and he couldn't come to Singapore last year because only Year 4 students are able to visit Singapore. After much waiting, this year he is here! so Farhan asked me and Eugene to come along today to meet his host. Today the KTC students are suppose to be at the botanic garden in the morning but when we reached Orchard it was already noon. we missed the students and Yuki! we got no idea where is Yuki! we thought of going to Swissotel to find him but we realised we don't know Yuki's room number. helpless, we went to the nearby MOS burger for milk tea. While we were drinking, we saw a group of Japanese Student walk in for lunch. So we thought of approaching them and ask if they know how to find Yuki or if they have Mukai sensei's cellphone number. i used my very broken Japanese and Farhan took out his iPod with pictures of kanazawa to show them. Convinced we were the 19mile students, the group of japanese student brought us back to their hotel room and gave us Mukai Sensei's number and Yuki's room number. Immediately, we called Mukai sensei but it was Omi sensei that picked up the call. He told us that the students are now having their free and easy time and won't be back till 9pm. but he said that tomorrow the students will be having free and easy starting from 9am. he don't know where is Yuki nor his cellphone number. So, we still can't find Yuki! Eugene then said we should try ringing Yuki's room bell. No one's in. Now we are really out of idea. Eugene then said we should leave a note and slipped in under the door for Yuki so that Yuki will know that Farhan is here. Farhan also leave his cellphone number for yuki to call him back. With no clue of Yuki's whereabout and Farhan having to leave at 4pm to prepare himself to book-in tonight, we were left with 1 hour to search blindly at cityhall for Yuki. we walked to Citylink, Marina Square, Suntec and back to Swissotel again. no luck at all. tired and depressed we went up to Yuki's room and slipped in another note for him. and then we took MRT home. On the way back i asked Farhan if he felt sad that he wasn't able to see Yuki. He said he is very because he is unable to book-out from his police HQ and send Yuki off. there is no chance of meeting him unless we go back to Japan again. oh dear. i'm upset too... now we can only hope that Yuki see the 2 notes and call Farhan. oh gosh 19mile. i miss my host family so much now.
